Ezzeldin Ibrahim Mohamed Abdelazim,Ph.D., Associate Professor

Research Interests

My research focuses on innovative applications of biotechnology, with a particular emphasis on utilizing nanotechnology for plant disease control. I am especially interested in the biosynthesis of nanomaterials and their potential to serve as sustainable alternatives to conventional pesticides, thereby mitigating harmful effects on human health and the environment. Additionally, I address the critical issue of mycotoxin contamination by exploring the effectiveness of nanomaterials in reducing its detrimental impacts.

Furthermore, my research delves into the biological control of plant diseases, specifically investigating the roles of endophytic microbes. I examine the mechanisms by which these microbes enhance resistance to plant diseases and contribute to improved growth and productivity.

By integrating nanotechnology and biological control strategies, my work aims to foster sustainable agricultural practices and enhance crop health and productivity.
